Fuming Malky Mackay has slammed referee Don Robertson after he failed to show James Sands a red card in Ross County's defeat to Rangers.

It proved to be a comfortable afternoon for Gio van Bronckhorst's side as John Lundstram, an Antonio Colak double and Steven Davis ' late strike saw the home side claim all three Scottish Premiership points, to move ahead of Celtic in the table ahead of Ange Postecoglou's side are back in action in 24 hours time against Dundee United.

However, the talking point for Mackay came before midfielder Lundstram opened the scoring. The America cap was on a yellow card when he hauled down Ross County's Jordy Hiwula as he looked to counter attack for the Staggies.

However, whistler Robertson waved away the claim of a foul despite vocal claims for Mackay on the touchline, who protested with the fourth official that there should have been a punishment on the Rangers ' defender.
