New-boy Lewis Miller has admitted Nick Montgomery is a major factor in him breaking into the Australia squad. The Hibs star has been going through his paces with the Socceroos for the first time this week, ahead of Saturday’s friendly with England.
Montgomery brought Miller through the ranks at Central Coast Mariners and is now his coach again at Hibs, and Miller admitted: “He killed it at the Mariners.
I came up with him through the academy. I had him for years and years and it is good to have him guide me again. He gave me the opportunity which has led me here.
I have only been here a couple of days but already there is a standard difference. This is the standard I want to play week-in, week-out.
