Lamar Jackson has been slammed by ESPN broadcaster Chris Russo for his performances with the Baltimore Ravens during the postseason. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, at least on offense, are looking pretty much unstoppable right now, as they lead the NFL in points scored through 3 games with 99, rank 4th when it comes to total yards with 1,141 and currently lead the league in passing touchdowns with 10, all thanks to Jackson.
And whilst they have had their problems on the defensive side of the ball, giving up the most yards in the league with 1,374 and blowing a 35-14 lead in their Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins, you can’t blame that on Jackson, and in fairness if he’s able to carry on playing the way that he has been, they are more likely going to win more than they lose.
It’s why there has been some talk surrounding him being considered as the league’s MVP for this year as he has set a pretty impressive benchmark for other quarterbacks to try and chase between now and the end of the season, and if he carries on the way he has then there’s no reason to think he can’t win the award again, having of course already won it in 2019.
However, that all concerns what will happen during the regular season, what happens in the postseason is a different matter, and Jackson knows that all too well.
