Indian cricket team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja believes that the amount of cricket that players take part in has increase considerably and that is one of the reasons why injuries have also gone up.

Jadeja suffered a hamstring injury in the first Test match that ruled him out for the second match in Visakhapatnam. However, he has recovered in time for the third game in Rajkot where he is expected to make a return to the playing XI.

Jadeja opened up about the possible reasons behind his recent injury concerns and said that he needs to work on his body more smartly to maintain his fitness. “It is frustrating but the cricket has increased these days and that is at the back of the mind always.

I can't hide anywhere in the field, I am always on the hotspot in any format and that maybe the reason (for injuries), and the ball comes to me often," Jadeja said at the pre-match press conference. “There is an expectation from the team that I take a good catch or field well and that's good.
