Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden rejoined his teammates for practice Wednesday ahead of Thursday's opener at Milwaukee, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
He had skipped practice Monday and missed multiple practices last week and the final preseason game. Harden has been seeking a trade since picking up his $35.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season.
The Sixers on Friday said Harden was away from the team because of a personal matter. It does not appear that Harden will be playing Thursday.
He hasn't practiced since Oct. 15, and sources say that the plan is for him to stay at the Camden practice facility and work with team development staff to get ready for game action once the Sixers return from their trip to Milwaukee and Toronto.
