Isco may have branded Rangers "lucky" after their Europa League victory in the group stage opener - but that narrative has been shut down by Real Betis captain German Pezzella.

Michael Beale's side got off to a perfect start in Group C with a 1-0 win against La Liga outfit - but Champions League winner Isco was less than pleased with the showing from the Scottish Premiership side as he bullishly claimed luck had been on the Light Blues side.

Boss Manuel Pellegrini also wasn't shy about taking aim at Rangers as he insisted the result was "absolutely unfair" on the Spanish side.

But the Betis skipper opted to take a more measured approach than his manager and teammate as he talked up the performance of Gers - while shifting the focus on to kick-starting their Europa League campaign.
