Is Facebook down? Users say they cannot post on the social media website

Facebook users are complaining that they are unable to post anything on the social media platform. According to Downdetector, there was a huge swathe of reports of outages just after 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Users took to another social platform, X, to complain about issues they are having with the Facebook website and App. @Naivesizzler posted: "Facebook is struggling to do the things,#Facebook is down" while @VidyutsPayal said: "Unable to Post anything.. #facebookdown". @annepmitchell added: "Wow!

Facebook is totally screwed up - can't post at all! What are your theories as to why this is happening?" Meta, which runs Facebook, has not yet released a statement on the issue.
