Erling Braut Haaland continued his insane run of goalscoring form in last Sunday’s Manchester derby. The ponytailed striker scored yet another hat-trick as City demolished bitter rivals United 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland has now scored a whopping 14 Premier League goals in 2022/23, which is only nine fewer than the Golden Boot-winning totals recorded by Heung-min Son and Mohamed Salah last season.
The 22-year-old has made goalscoring look way too easy over the past two-and-a-half years and it’s scary to think how many records he’s going to break during the course of his professional career.
One new achievement Haaland can now boast about is his historic goal return after 75 appearances in Europe’s top leagues. In that timeframe, no player has scored more times and the Norwegian is also the only man to average more than a goal per game.
