French prosecutors drop probe into Paris Olympics 2024 chief Estanguet
PARIS, April 3 : French financial prosecutors have dropped an investigation of Paris 2024 Olympics chief Tony Estanguet regarding his salary, the prosecutor's department said on Friday.
It said the investigation, which looked into Estanguet's salary in his role as president of the 2024 Olympics organising committee, had found no case of criminal wrongdoing.
Estanguet, a three-time Olympic canoeing champion before taking charge of the Paris 2024 organising committee, had said he was not involved in the decision on his salary.
