Bolton Wanderers' B team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town. Wanderers' second string took on their counterparts from Huddersfield this afternoon at the club's Lostock training ground.
It was the start of the Central League Cup campaign. Bolton's first chance came after 10 minutes when Connor Stanley's free kick was headed over by Conor Carty.

At the other end, Carty tried to find Gerald Sithole with a low cross but his delivery went just out. A Max Conway penalty appeal went unanswered, while Sithole crossed for Carty but the former Wolves man could not connect with it.
