The Norwegian striker took his tally to 12 for the season after just seven games and now already scored 25 goals in 20 Champions League games in his career — the fastest player ever to reach the milestone in the competition.
It’s the start of what City will hope is a triumphant campaign for them in Europe, given their much-publicised struggles in the Champions League.
The arrival of Haaland has made them favourites to finally lift the trophy this time around, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
