Erik ten Hag was appointed Manchester United manager last year and enjoyed a superb first season at the helm. Winning the Carabao Cup, as well as reaching the final of the FA Cup and posting a third-place finish in the Premier League, the former Ajax boss built a steady platform for himself to work from ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

However, things haven't all gone to plan so far this term despite United having again been busy in the transfer market, most notably spending big money on Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Having lost ten times already, some pressure has begun to mount on the 53-year-old, given the news of an imminent minority takeover involving INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
