Christine McGuinness has told her fans that it was 'meant to be' as she offered an update after being stranded abroad with her children.

The model is one of many holidaymakers to have been hit by the travel chaos that began on Monday (August 28). At the stay of the week, Christine took to social media to reveal she had ditched the UK and had spent a few days soaking up the last of the summer sun with her three children before they head back to school.

She shared a string of snaps from her trip on Instagram which she enjoyed with her mum as well as her twins, Penelope and Leo, and youngest daughter, Felicity. "The best holiday with my faves," the 35-year-old began to write in the caption of the carousel of images which started with a sweet photo of herself and her mum, Joanne, who had already accompanied her daughter on a child-free trip earlier this summer. Wow, I am so lucky," Christine continued to write to her fans. "My babies have grown in confidence so much on this holiday, calmer in the airport, jumping in the pool and even enjoying the hotel restaurant." She then rounded off the post to her 710,000 followers by declaring: "Nothing can stop us now babies there is a whole world out there for us to see." But following her sun-soaked social media update, Christine found herself sharing how her end to the getaway didn't go as planned.
