Emmerdale viewers spotted a familiar face in a new guise in Monday night's episode. Actor Robert Beck has returned to the soap more than 20 years after he appeared in a very different role.

Last time around he was Bernice Blackstock's partner Gavin Ferris. And in the soap's latest episode Robert popped up again but this time as Harry, a new villain linked to fellow newcomer Corey.

The actor - who is married to Coronation Street actress Jane Danson - was on the show for 78 episodes in 1999. Viewers who watched the show back then may recall that he was caught kissing Tricia's boyfriend Jason Kirk, resulting in a split with Bernice and the character leaving the village for good.
