Brits have a bank holiday to look forward to at the end of the month - and it means some people could get their benefit payments early.
The next Bank Holiday will take place on Monday, August 28, in England and Wales and plenty of people will be getting the day off work to hopefully enjoy some sunshine.
The long weekend will affect benefit payment dates for anyone who would usually receive their payment on August 28, as the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) does not usually process any payments on a bank holiday. If you are due a payment on August 28, you will receive it early on Friday, August 25. If you are on the following benefits you could get your payment early: If your payment date falls on a day other than the bank holiday, you should still get your payment as usual.
