Dutch GP: Valtteri Bottas itching to get going after Spa disappointment

Valtteri Bottas says he is looking forward to getting back driving this weekend at Zandvoort after his Belgian GP was brought to a very unfortunate end.

The Alfa Romeo driver had to take avoiding action in the early stages of the Belgian Grand Prix with him dodging a spinning Nicholas Latifi and ending up beaching himself in a gravel trap at Les Combes.

Indeed, he couldn’t get out of said trap in the Alfa and that was the end of the race, which was a naturally disappointing way to bring his race to an end.

He’s perhaps looking forward to a new race weekend more than most in a bid to put things right, then, and this is what he had to say ahead of the GP on the Dutch coast: “A new race week gives us the opportunity to recover straight away from an unfortunate weekend in Spa.
