A Dundee United fan pitch invasion following their Championship title victory saw the BBC punditry team forced into the stands amid wild celebrations after the goalless draw with Airdrie.

Although they went into the game six points clear of second placed Raith Rovers, the Tangerines mathematically sealed their return to the Scottish Premiership with one game still to play thanks to the stalemate at the Excelsior Stadium.

At the full-time whistle the visiting support in North Lanarkshire flooded on to the pitch during the game that was being beamed across the country on BBC Scotland.

After initially celebrating with the players in the centre of the field, the celebration moved closer to the tunnel and the home stand - before some sections of the travelling support were seen scaling the crossbar and attempting to climb on the nets as security ushered the fans back into the stands.
