Russell Wilson has agreed to a new deal with the Denver Broncos according to reports. It looks as if it didn’t take long for Russell Wilson to well and truly establish himself as the man in the Rocky Mountains.
The past two seasons have acted as something of a wake-up call for the Denver Broncos as a team and as a franchise. Having struggled for years following the departure of Peyton Manning and him delivering them their last Super Bowl in 2016, they finally managed to hit rock bottom by finishing 4th in the AFC West in consecutive seasons.
They have been going through a period of transition on that end, getting rid of some players to collect picks, such as Von Miller who would win the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams last season, and trading away picks in other areas of the side, with no bigger or better example than the haul they gave up to get Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason.
Two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, tight end Noah Fant, quarterback Drew Lock and defensive end Shelby Harris all made the move to the Pacific North West in order to secure Wilson’s services.
