Cameron Carter-Vickers is a major doubt for Celtic ’s meeting with RB Leipzig after he missed training. The American centre back sat out the weekend’s Premiership win over Motherwell with an unspecified injury as the Hoops survived Callum McGregor’s late sending off to run out 2-1 victors and return to the top of the Scottish Premiership table following Rangers’ earlier 4-0 thumping of Hearts at Tynecastle.
Boss Ange Postecoglou was hopeful that Carter-Vickers would be able to feature in Wednesday night’s Champions League Group F clash in Germany.
However, there was no sign of the former Tottenham Hotspur man as the champions trained at Celtic Park ahead of flying out to Leipzig later today.
With Swedish international Carl Starfelt also injured, Stephen Welsh and Moritz Jenz deputised against the Steelmen and the same partnership could start at the Red Bull Arena as Celtic seek their first win of the European campaign.
