A huge season awaits for Callum Wilson and Newcastle United. The 30-year-old is moving into his third campaign in the North-east and will be desperate for his long-standing injury problems to subside.
In 44 Premier League appearances for the Magpies, Wilson has scored 20 goals and added five assists whilst cementing himself as a firm fans’ favourite at St James’ Park.
The sky really would have been the limit for him had injuries not blighted his time at the club, the theme of his top-flight career.
Because of the likelihood that Wilson will miss a number of games, another striker is on Eddie Howe’s wishlist after Chris Wood struggled to have the desired effect since joining from Burnley in January.
