Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson is optimistic that new manager Erik ten Hag can bring success back to Old Trafford, insisting that the players already appear to be listening to his demands.
United have made an encouraging start to their pre-season preparations, winning their opening two friendlies, beating Liverpool 4-0 in Thailand on Tuesday and Melbourne Victory 4-1 in their first game in Australia on Friday.
The Reds have produced no shortage of encouraging signs in both fixtures, earning plenty of early plaudits. Despite falling behind to Victory with just five minutes on the clock, United produced another professional performance, playing a patient game before eventually breaching their deep defensive line on four occasions.
There have also been several eye-catching individual performances, too, with Eric Bailly, Zidane Iqbal, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial earning plenty of praise for their contributions.
