Dutch superstar Annemiek van Vleuten put together an astonishing showing with a broken arm to win gold in the women's road race at the 2022 World Championships on Saturday.

Van Vleuten, 39, was a doubt to even start the race thanks to a nasty crash in the team time trial but after a surprising recovery, she took her place.
