It's been a season for injury setbacks and the latest for Celtic will see them without Daizen Maeda until Christmastime. Brendan Rodgers thought he'd seen the worst of it early in the season but just as his defensive crisis begins to ease, he's been dealt two major blows further up the pitch.
Reo Hatate is out for the year and Rodgers is now without ever-present winger Maeda who faces a six-week spell on the sidelines.
It's hoped he'll be back to face Rangers on December 30 but there are plenty of points to be won both domestically and in Europe between now and then.
During his first spell in charge, the boss bemoaned a squad that had too many wingers, but this time out he might be happy he's well-stocked in the wide areas as he has a few names he could call upon to step up and replace the man who has started all but two competitive games for him and featured in them all.
