Darts fans will have a unique chance to go head-to-head with former world champion Rob Cross at a Medway builders merchant. Cross will be playing members of the public in special nine-dart challenges at the Selco Builders Warehouse on the Medway City Estate, Strood on Tuesday (July 5) between 10.30am and 12pm.

Spot prizes will be up for grabs – including tickets to the 2022 PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace – and entry will be free.

Cross’ glittering CV includes success at the World Championship, the World Matchplay and the European Championship. Carine Jessamine, marketing director of Selco Builders Warehouse, said: “Rob is a huge name in the world of darts and we are delighted to be hosting him in our branch, which has proved extremely popular with tradespeople since it opened. “Rob shot to fame by winning the World Championship on his debut in 2018 and has followed that up with regular titles and appearances in the latter stages of the biggest competitions. “This will be a fantastic chance for people to take on one of the most recognisable names in the sport. “There is no need to book – just come down to Selco Rochester and take part in what is sure to be a fun and exciting event.” Selco’s Rochester branch on the Medway City Estate, Anthony’s Way, opened at the end of 2021.

Selco has been a proud partner of the Professional Darts Corporation since 2019. With hundreds of trade brands always in stock, Selco’s 73 UK branches are firmly focused on helping tradespeople complete their jobs as quickly and effectively as possible.
