There’s some good news on Cody Rhodes current injury, with his wife Brandi sharing that her husband is doing well after a successful surgery.
Rhodes suffered the injury prior to last Sunday’s Hell in a Cell match with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, which was later confirmed as a complete tear of his pectoral tendon. Despite the serious injury, Cody chose to compete in the show’s main event, showing scarily evident bruising to the rights side of his chest and shoulder.
The 36-year-old soldiered on valiantly in the match and notched-up another victory over The Visionary, even after Rollins had targeted his injury during the gruelling Hell in a Cell bout.
The following night on Raw, Cody cut a promo detailing his intent to recover from the injury and claimed he’d still be at Money in the Bank next month. However, a further attack from his rival Rollins signalled the on-screen story that will now see Rhodes out of action for several months.
His recovery has however made the perfect start, according to an update from wife Brandi. She shared on twitter that Rhodes’ surgery had been successful, and the tendon had been repaired.

The injury was devasting news for The American Nightmare who had been positioned as WWE’s number one babyface over the coming months. However, we may not see Cody back on WWE TV until the end of the year or possibly early 2023.
