Everton: 'Big mistake' involving £110k-a-week star at Goodison Park

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made a ‘big mistake’ that ‘top-class’ shot-stoppers would not make when he conceded a crucial penalty against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening, according to journalist Paul Brown.

The England international has been in good form this season for Frank Lampard’s side this term but was at fault as the Toffees were beaten in north London.

Pundit Tim Sherwood did not hold back during his analysis on Premier League Productions, via Goodison News, saying the mistake was ‘very, very poor’ from the £110,000 per-week star.

However, Lampard refused to add to the criticism of his number one, pointing to the ‘many times’ the keeper has saved them in the past.

Brown has dubbed the moment a ‘big mistake’ from Pickford and that it ultimately handed the three points to Spurs.

The journalist says that such errors are what separates the former Sunderland ace from the world’s best.
