Rishabh Pant To Miss 2nd Test vs New Zealand? Report Makes Massive 'Team Management' Claim

Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant suffered a knee injury during the first Test match against New Zealand in Bengaluru. While Pant did not keep the wickets at all following the injury, he did come out to bat in the second innings and scored a valiant 99. However, with the second Test starting on Thursday in Pune, questions remain over his injury and his possible participation. According to a report by the Indian Express, the selectors have left the decision to the team management to take a call on Pant ahead of the match. Dhruv Jurel kept wickets in Pant's absence in Bengaluru and he will be the possible replacement in case Pant is excluded.

La Liga: Robert Lewandowski Powers Five-Star Barcelona To Sevilla Rout

Red-hot Robert Lewandowski and Pablo Torre struck twice each as Barcelona hammered Sevilla 5-1 on Sunday to stay three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga ahead of next weekend's Clasico. Los Blancos beat Celta Vigo on Saturday to pull level with Hansi Flick's side but Barca swiftly restored their advantage with a dominant display of attacking football. Veteran striker Lewandowski reached 12 goals in 10 La Liga matches, his strikes sandwiching Pedri Gonzalez's effort from the edge of the box, before substitute Torre added the fourth. Stanis Idumbo grabbed a consolation for Sevilla in the final stages but Francisco Garcia Pimienta's side were roundly beaten on his return to the club he spent nearly three decades with in various roles.

Mercedes Admit 'Issues' After Lewis Hamilton's Texas Trouble

A frustrated Toto Wolff admitted his Mercedes team are struggling with "issues" on Sunday after seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton crashed out on the fifth lap of the United States Grand Prix. He referred to car problems and said Hamilton's exit was "one hundred percent the car" as he was "not even pushing at that stage...and Lewis Hamilton doesn't lose a car on lap five like this." Wolff also spoke out about the inconsistencies of stewards' decisions that on Sunday included a five-second penalty for George Russell who finished a fine sixth after starting from the pit lane.

A group of people attacked Shakib Al Hasan's fans during a protest in Dhaka on Sunday amid tight security, an eye witness said. Liverpool Pass Chelsea Test To Reclaim Premier League Top Spot

Liverpool passed a major test of their Premier League title credentials to move back to the top of the table by beating Chelsea 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday. Mohamed Salah's penalty and Curtis Jones' winner made it 10 wins in 11 games for the Reds since Arne Slot took charge. Nicolas Jackson briefly levelled for Chelsea in the second half, but they slipped to a first league defeat since losing to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season. Victory takes Liverpool one point ahead of City and four clear of Arsenal, who they face at the Emirates next weekend.
