Pep Guardiola has signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City after talks with Khaldoon Al-Mubarak in Abu Dhabi.
City confirmed on Wednesday morning that Guardiola had extended his deal until the end of the 2024-25 season. His previous contract had been due to expire in seven months’ time.
It is a huge coup for City, who were concerned that Guardiola would walk away from the club at the end of the season. Guardiola and his family flew to Abu Dhabi last Thursday to attend the grand prix that was taking place there and play in a golf tournament.
