Arsenal could face stiff competition from as many as eight Premier League clubs in the race to land Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk in the not-too-distant future, according to reports.

The Ukraine international has emerged as one of the finest young talents in Europe over the last few years and is believed to be admired by the Gunners, who have been tipped to bring him to north London before the start of next season.

Arsenal scouts were in attendance to watch Mudryk in action for his country against Scotland on Wednesday evening as Ukraine fell to a one-sided defeat at Hampden Park.

However, the north Londoners were not the only club to have been represented at the fixture, with eight other Premier League sides also sending scouts to run the rule over Mudryk's performance, according to 90min.It is said that Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton, Everton, Leeds United, Newcastle United, West Ham and Wolves all sent representatives  to follow Scotland's match against Ukraine, with Mudryk the main target of their interest.
