Zimbabwe had a horror day on the field as they fumbled a golden chance to beat Bangladesh in the fourth T20I of a five-match series on Friday. Bangladesh lower-order batter Mustafizur Rahman survived two run outs in a single delivery, courtesy of Johnathan Campbell's fumble at the non-striker's end. The incident occurred on the second delivery of the 20th over of Bangladesh's innings Tanvir Islam and Mustafizur were involved in a mix-up. Zimbabwe Cricket on Thursday cleared all-rounders Wessly Madhevere and Brandon Mavuta after the duo completed their four-month suspension, imposed on them due to "recreational drug use". Along with the ban, the duo were fined 50 per cent of their salaries as well. Madhevere and Mavuta's rehabilitation was overseen by ZC's medical personnel and they had been ordered to train in the high-performance programme.

Pakistan's Cricket Board said on Friday it will host South Africa and New Zealand in a one-day international tri-series, the country's first tournament involving three nations after a gap of 20 years. The series was greenlit on the sidelines of an International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting in Dubai, according to Pakistan's board. International cricket only fully returned to Pakistan in 2020, following attacks on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009. Pakistan was stripped of its right to co-host the World Cup two years later, with security concerns lingering in the aftermath of those attacks.

Then he pushed the last ball to square leg, scampering for two runs to keep Sri Lanka's unbeaten record against Zimbabwe in T20 Internationals intact. Sri Lanka owed the win to 36-year-old former captain Angelo Mathews who, playing his first T20 International in almost three years, top scored with 46.

Janith Liyanage 95 Gives Sri Lanka Hard Fought Win Over Zimbabwe

A back to the wall 95 by middle order batsman Janith Liyanage helped Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by two wickets in the second ODI of the three-match series in Colombo on Monday. Chasing 209 to win, Sri Lanka struggled as left-arm seamer Richard Ngarava troubled the batsmen with extra bounce. Ngarava claimed the first four Sri Lankan wickets, and picked up a fifth when he dismissed Maheesh Theekshana in his final over. Sri Lanka were 112, but a 56-run stand for the seventh wicket between Theekshana and Liyanage started the fight back. Ngarava finished with five for 32, his career best figures and Sri Lanka started to breath easier when he completed his 10 overs.
