India's campaign in Paris begins on July 25, with archers getting underway on the first day itself. India have never won an Olympic medal in Archery despite doing well on the world stage in different events over the years. For the archers, the target remains the same, opening their medal account in the Olympic Games.
PARIS : The International Olympic Committee (IOC) should investigate India's wrestling federation (WFI) and bolster its tools to report cases of sexual harassment, the Sport and Rights Alliance (SRA) said in a report published on Tuesday.

Livid at being denied accreditation for the Paris Games, India's Korean archery coach Baek Woong Ki on Saturday said he would not continue after his contract expires on August 30, and lashed out at the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for "poor and hasty administration". Woong Ki, who reached the French capital with the Indian team after overseeing its preparation in Marseille, said he "was removed from the Olympic coaching role at a critical time" and will now be flying back to India with his return ticket already booked.
Twenty-four personnel from the armed forces, including ace javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra and two women participants, are among the 117 Indian athletes who are set to test their mettle at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The presence of these two women athletes in the contingent, marks the maiden participation of female service athletes at the Olympics, the ministry of defence in a statement on Saturday. Chopra, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medallist, is a subedar in the Indian Army. Twenty-four personnel from the armed forces are among the 117 Indian athletes who are all set to make the nation proud at the Paris Olympics, beginning July 26, it said.
