The West Bengal government on Monday allowed 75 per cent spectator attendance for the three-match T20I series against the West Indies to be played at Eden Gardens, beginning February 16. As per a state government notification issued on Monday "all indoor and outdoor sports activities will be allowed with 75 per cent of the capacity of the venue" which means a crowd attendance of around 50,000 can be expected.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Avishek Dalmiya said the board is confident in staging the upcoming three T20Is against West Indies in February. Team India are set to play three ODIs at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad from February 6 followed by the T20I series at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata from February 16. "It may be recalled that CAB had organised a T20 match against New Zealand successfully in November 2021 with players and support staff in bio-secure environment and with seventy per cent cricket lovers in attendance," Avishek Dalmiya said in a statement.

Team India Arrive In Ahmedabad For ODIs vs West Indies

Members of the Indian cricket team have arrived for the three-match ODI series against the West Indies beginning on February 6. All players entered the bio bubble between Sunday and Monday.
