The final week of Tour de France action kicks off in what could be a frantic dash with the chances dwindling to challenge Jonas Vingeggard. After Monday's rest day, Stage 16 gets the final week going on Tuesday with a 178.5km ride to Foix from Carcassone.
A Yasir Shah delivery was drawing comparisons with Shane Warne's "ball of the century" on Tuesday, the day after the Pakistan leg-spinner ripped out Kusal Mendis.
Hardik Pandya has been a revelation for the Indian cricket team with his recent performances. On Sunday, he partnered Rishabh Pant (125*, 113 balls) to rescue India from a tricky situation against England in the third ODI in Manchester. After India were reduced to 72/4, Pandya scored 71 off 55 balls and shared a 133-run stand with Pant for the fifth wicket. The partnership helped India chase down a 260-run target in 42.1 overs and clinch the series 2-1. He also returned with his best-ever ODI bowling figures of 4/24 earlier to restrict the hosts to 259.
Manchester United take on Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on Tuesday morning in their third outing under Erik ten Hag in pre-season.
Shane Warne's 'Ball of the Century' to dismiss Sri Lankan batter Kusal Mendis. Shah produced this peach of delivery during the first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle. The delivery and the mode of dismissal were remarkably similar to the delivery Warne had produced to dismissing England's Mike Gatting in 1993. On Day three of the Test match during Sri Lanka's second innings, Shah delivered an absolutely unplayable delivery that pitched well outside the leg stump and hit the top of the right-hand batter's off stump after spinning unbelievably.
A video of KL Rahul facing Jhulan Goswami in the nets of the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru is going viral on social media. In the surfaced clip, Goswami can be seen bowling a fuller length delivery on the stumps to Rahul and following it with a short ball outside off stump. The right-handed batter played both the deliveries with perfection as he hit a cover drive on the first ball, while he cut the second ball from the back foot on the off side.
