England vs South Africa: Super Eight - Match 5 Preview
India cricket team icon Virat Kohli had a gala time in the dressing room as fielding coach T Dilip went about the ritual of naming the 'best fielder' from the game against Afghanistan. As India thumped the Rashid Khan-led side, there was jubilation all across the dressing room, and Dilip managed to keep everyone guessing with his best fielder nominations. The likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Rishabh Pant were all lauded for their fielding efforts in the game, but it was Kohli who was the most surprised at the developments.
Pakistan international batter Shan Masood, playing for Yorkshire in Vitality T20 Blast, was at the center of the strange incident that saw him remain not-out despite getting run-out on a no-ball. It all happened when Masood was batting on 58, facing Lancashire's Jack Blatherwick in the 15th over. Masood hit the stumps while trying to hit the ball on the backfoot and wandered outside the crease thinking he was out. The Lancashire players also dislodged the bails at the other end of the pitch, inflicting a run-out.
Pat Cummins bagged a hat-trick as Australia restricted Bangladesh to 140-8 in their T20 World Cup Super Eight clash in Antigua on Thursday. Cummins grabbed the wickets of Mahmudullah, Mahedi Hasan and Towhid Hridoy in consecutive deliveries over two overs as Australia's bowlers produced a disciplined performance to contain the Bangladeshis at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound. Cummins, restored to the starting line-up, finished with figures of 3-29 off four overs while spinner Adam Zampa also impressed with 2-24.
Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli has been struggling to score runs in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 and things got worse for him as he dropped an absolute sitter during the Super 8 encounter against Afghanistan on Thursday. During the second over of the Afghanistan innings, Ibrahim Zadran slammed a delivery from Arshdeep Singh straight to Kohli at backward point. Kohli timed his jump to perfection but the ball hit his hands and bounced away leaving skipper Rohit Sharma stunned. Even Kohli was visibly disappointed with his dropped catch before breaking into a sheepish smile.
The game was on the BBC again. Gary Lineker presented, fresh from a scandal over him wearing his Next range of shirts. Like anyone cares, except a few right wing loons who, for some reason, are driven to distraction by Lineker and feel he embodies everything that’s wrong with the world.
Australia vs Bangladesh Live Streaming T20 World Cup Live Telecast: Australia vs Bangladesh Super 8 clash is here. The supremely confident team from Down Under was humbled 1-4 by the South Asians in a T20 International series in 2021, and any laxity can be severely punished in conditions here that have close resemblance to the sub-continent. From an Australian perspective, it might bring increased onus on leg-spinner Adam Zampa and part-timers such as Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head. But irrespective of the conditions or nature of the pitch, Australia's real strength lies in its pacers -- Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood -- who are persistently nagging.
Spain vs Italy Live Streaming Euro 2024 Live Telecast: Spain and Italy both look to continue their winning run as they face each other in a crucial Group B match in Euro 2024 on Friday. Spain started the competition on a very positive note as they defeated Croatia 3-0 in a one-sided affair. Defending champions Italy, however, had a slightly difficult outing as they had to work hard to defeat Albania. Italy faced a tough challenge from the lower-ranked opposition but ultimately emerged victorious with a 2-1 margin.
