The love for cricket knows no age and one of the biggest example of that is 83-year-old Scottish cricketer Alex Steele. The wicket-keeper made his debut for Scotland way back in 1967 against English county side Lancashire but his love and passion for the game has remained the same. A club cricketer for Forfarshire Cricket Club, Steele still appears for matches and recently a video of him keeping wickets has gone viral. The 83-year-old was seen on the field while carrying an oxygen cylinder on his back but that did not stop him from giving his all. He has been suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a terminal respiratory disease, since 2020.

The 'sasur-damad' duo of Shaheen Afridi and Shahid Afridi has some great connection between them. Shaheen is currently playing in The Hundred tournament in England while Shahid is featuring in the Global T20 Canada. The two players are thousands of miles away from each other but they showed some uncanny similarity when they picked wickets during their respective matches on the same day. Both the players picked two wickets apiece and the manner in which they celebrated the wickets was identical.

Mumbai Indians star batter Tilak Varma left everyone utterly impressed with his maiden international half-century on Sunday. Varma achieved the milestone during the second T20I match between India and West Indies, where the visitors faced a defeat by two wickets. Opting to bat first, Team India could only post a total of 152/7 in 20 overs and West Indies bowlers brilliantly dominated them. Later, the hosts chased down the target in just 18.5 overs with Nicholas Pooran scoring 67 runs.

During the 7th over of the match, Ravi Bishnoi bowled a delivery wide off leg stump but Kishan was able to collect it properly. However, he held his position and waited for Powell to lift his leg so that he can try the stumping. However, when he ended up dislodging the bails, it was a bit too late as the batter was already back in his crease and his plan did not materialise in the way that he would have wanted.

A video of Pakistan star Azam Khan's wicketkeeping is going viral on social media. The clip is from a Global T20 Canada match in which the 24-year-old could be seen singing behind the stumps and sledging his fellow countrymate Mohammad Haris during the latter's batting. It was a match between Khan's team Mississauga Panthers and Haris' side Surrey Jaguars at CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario on August 2. The Jaguars were chasing a paltry target of 57 runs and Panthers wicketkeeper Khan was trying his level best to distract the opponent batter Haris.

Ishan Kishan played a ball from Obed McCoy with soft hands and immediately called for a quick single. However, Mayers was extremely agile at mid-wicket and he quickly collected the ball and completed an impressive direct hit. The on-field umpire went for a review but replays made it clear that Suryakumar was well short of his crease and was dismissed cheaply once again.
