A fan caught the headlines for all the wrong reasons after he breached the security barriers to hug Virat Kohli mid-match during the second T20I against Afghanistan in Indore on Sunday. Pictures of the same incident went viral on social media and the man was detained by the police for breaching security arrangements. After detaining him, cops took the young man, who entered the ground by climbing the fence of the spectators' gallery, to Tukoganj police station. News agency PTI had reported that the man was interrogated by the cops.

Mathews, Sri Lanka's hero with the bat with an unbeaten 66, was hit for three sixes in the final over as Zimbabwe knocked off the target with a ball to spare. Zimbabwe's Luke Jongwe, who smashed 25 not out off 12 balls with two fours and two sixes, was named man of the match.

A video of Australian cricket team stars Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa having a hilarious conversation with a taxi driver is currently going viral on social media. In the video, the taxi driver was heard having a conversation about cricket with the two stars but he failed to recognise the World Cup winners. “Do you know anything about cricket?” Maxwell asked the taxi driver and he replied that it was his favourite sport. However, he had no clue that two Australian cricketers were sitting in his cab and when asked about Maxwell, he even said that he was a "good player". Eventually, he was able to recognise them. According to some social media posts, this video is a few years old.

Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed got angry at a fan who called him 'chachu' during the second T20I against New Zealand in Hamilton on Sunday. Notably, Iftikhar's nickname is 'chachu' (uncle) which was given to him by Babar Azam. He has been often referred to as 'chachu' by his teammates and fans of cricket. However, Iftikhar wasn't happy with a fan calling him by the same while he was fielding near the boundary at the Seddon Park. The players asked the fan to not call him 'chachu', to which the fan replied saying that he is a fan of him.

All-rounder Shivam Dube's return to the Indian side has proved to be a blessing for the team. Dube registered his second half-century in as many games on Sunday as India made a mockery of Afghanistan in the second T20I in Indore. The 30-year-old has made unbeaten 60 and 63 in the first two matches, helping India seal the series with a game yet to be played. Not only that, Dube has also chipped in with a few overs in the absence of Hardik Pandya, taking two wickets as well. Ahead of the match in Indore, Dube was part of a light-hearted chat with India captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli, who returned to the T20I side after a hiatus of more than 14 months.

With the T20 World Cup set to be held later this year in June, all-rounder Shivam Dube has boosted the hopes of his selection in India's squad for the marquee event. With all-rounder and vice-captain Hardik Pandya nursing an ankle injury since October last year, Dube's resurgence as a fast-bowling all-rounder has proved to be a blessing for India. In the ongoing T20I series, Dube has scored back-to-back half-centuries in the first two matches, also picking up two wickets in the process.

Durban Super Giants registered a stunning 35-run victory over Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Match No 5 of the ongoing SA20 League on Saturday. Opting to bat first, the Super Giants posted a whopping total of 225/3 in 20 overs with JJ Smuts playing a magnificent knock of 75 off 38 balls. Later, the Sunrisers were restricted to 190/9, despite a 65-run knock from Tom Abell. However, this match grabbed a lot of attention after Tom Abell showed a terrific fielding effort to save six runs for his team.
