Watch: Pakistan Super League Team Concedes Five Runs For 'Illegal Fielding' In Bizarre Incident
Peshawar Zalmi were awarded five penalty runs after a throw from the Multan Sultans fielder hit Mohammad Rizwan's wicket-keeping glove which was lying on the ground during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match on Thursday. Zalmi batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore played the ball from spinner Khushdil Shah towards fine-leg and Rizwan dashed from his wicket-keeping stance to retrieve the ball. The ball was ultimately collected by a fielder and his throw hit one of Rizwan's gloves that he took off and threw on the ground while running. Babar Azam, who was in the non-striker's end, pointed it out to umpire Aleem Dar who decided to award five runs as penalty due to 'illegal fielding'.

England pacer Jofra Archer turned up for a Karnataka team during a two-day practice match against County side Sussex at the KSCA Ground in Alur, near Bengaluru. Archer, who plays County cricket for Sussex, played as a substitute for the Karnataka team filled with U-19, U-23 and senior players. For the unversed, Sussex are in Bengaluru, India for a 10-day pre-season camp. They are expected to play a couple of practice games in Bengaluru games before returning to the South Coast.
