Some in Argentina have known about their family's dirty secret since they were very young. Khan added that he had informed both camps, the Sudanese Armed Forces led by General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group of General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, of his move. “We have to find a way to make sure that this time, people are held responsible in a timely fashion,” he said.
Asked about the pushback by some EU countries against the European Commission's proposals to map Russian assets, he says: "I guess the reasons are more political than technical. I don’t understand why there are some governments and countries in Europe that are still sceptical. I hope that in the very near future we can at least get data from each member state on what kind of Russian assets have been frozen."
He hopes, "at some stage, to capture him and make him liable in the Ukrainian courts".
