Will Connor Goldson's late Rangers strike prove crucial in the title race? Monday Jury

KEITH JACKSON: The second half salvage mission might just have kept them in the title race. With an inferior goal difference had they also fallen six points off the pace they would have needed snookers to knock Celtic off top spot in the final seven games. ANDY NEWPORT: Huge. There's been plenty of question marks over whether this side has the bottle for the title fight but they came up with a massive result at Dens on a day when they were miles off it. It's still all to play for with seven games to go. FRASER WILSON: In terms of keeping the title race alive it was massive. Had it stayed 1-1 and the gap stretched to five points then I reckon Celtic’s lead and significantly better goal difference would have been insurmountable. DAVID McCARTHY: Absolutely massive. Rangers needed two goals in the second half or the title was hanging by a thread. They got them and they're still in it.

Indian Wells 2022 - Taylor Fritz wins title as Rafael Nadal's perfect start to 2022 comes to a surprising end

Taylor Fritz won the biggest title of his career to sensationally snap a visibly struggling Rafael Nadal’s perfect start to 2022 at Indian Wells. The Spaniard was the red-hot favourite heading into the final but saw his 20-match streak come to an astonishing halt as the number 20 seed claimed a 6-3 7-6 victory to become the first American to lift the trophy since Andre Agassi in 2001. Ad/> Fritz, who will climb to a career-high number 13 in the world as a result of his desert run, had been struggling with an ankle injury following his semi-final triumph over Andrey Rublev, and he admitted it had been a major concern in the hours leading up to the biggest match of his life to-date.

Nadal’s 20-match win streak ends in loss to Fritz; Swiatek wins women’s title

INDIAN WELLS, California: American Taylor Fritz upset Rafael Nadal 6-3, 7-6 (5) Sunday to win the BNP Paribas Open and snap the 21-time major champion’s 20-match winning streak this year. “It’s an honor to even be on the same court as this guy,” Fritz told the crowd. “I grew up watching this guy win everything.” Nadal fought off a match point on his serve with a forehand winner to tie the second set 5-all. He had two break points on Fritz’s serve in the next game, but the American held for a 6-5 lead. Nadal held to force the tiebreaker. Nadal sent two straight forehands well wide to set up Fritz’s second match point. Another Nadal error sent the 24-year-old American to the biggest victory of his career not far from where he grew up near San Diego. Fritz’s parents, Guy Fritz and Kathy May, are former tour players. “Winning this tournament is just one of those crazy childhood dreams that you don’t think is ever going to happen,” he said. Fritz dropped his racket and collapsed on his back. He got up smiling with a look of disbelief on his face. He became the first American man to win Indian Wells since Andre Agassi in 2001. Fritz earned $1.2 million.
