"Got Confidence And Momentum": England Opener Phil Salt After Win vs West Indies

England opener Phil Salt said the convincing eight-wicket victory over the West Indies in their Super Eight clash has given his side "confidence and momentum" at the right time in the T20 World Cup after a chaotic run in the event's group stage. Salt played a major hand in the win here, racing his way to an unbeaten 87 off 47 balls as the defending champions replied to the home team's 180/4 with 181/2 in 17.3 overs.

"Unconventional But Highly Effective": West Indies Great Praises Jasprit Bumrah

Curtly Ambrose is a huge fan of Jasprit Bumrah and despite the Indian spearhead's struggles with stress fractures in the past, the Caribbean legend would not want to change anything in his unorthodox action as he feels every fast bowler takes the field with a risk of getting injured. Bumrah, arguably the best all-format pacer in the game right now, has had his fair share of back problems and underwent a surgery in March last year. After a long rehab, Bumrah made a comeback ahead of the ODI World Cup in India in November and he has not looked back since then.

Kane Williamson Slammed, Told To Look At Virat Kohli, After New Zealand's Early T20 World Cup Exit

Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan rarely minces his words, and it was no different as he suggested that New Zealand stalwart Kane Williamson will never be a player who can bat at an explosive strike rate. The critique comes after New Zealand bowed out of the 2024 T20 World Cup in the group stage. Williamson scored just 28 runs in the tournament, at a strike rate of 87.50, and gave up captaincy following New Zealand's exit. Michael Vaughan has now advised Williamson to take inspiration from one of his contemporaries, Virat Kohli, on how to remodel his T20 game.

"Played With Me So Let's Take Him": Virender Sehwag Accuses Pakistan Selector of 'Favouritism'

Former India opener Virender Sehwag has lashed out at the Pakistan duo of Wahaz Riaz and Mohammad Amir. Wahaz, who called time on his international cricketer career last year, is currently the chief selector of the Pakistan national men's selection committee. He was appointed in the role in November. Months after Riaz taking up the new role, Amir, who too had hanged up his boots from international cricket, made a comeback into the national team. Highlighting the turn of events, Sehwag questioned the intent of Riaz as the selection committee head.
