Max Verstappen was wary of reading too much into his Sprint victory on Saturday at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. The current world champion started the day on pole but lost his lead at the green light, with current drivers’ championship leader, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, nipping in ahead of him. Ad/> Leclerc held the lead for much of the race but was ultimately reeled back in as his tyres faded and the young Dutchman was able to activate DRS to regain the lead in the closing stages.
The Scarlets gained sweet revenge over the Dragons with a bonus point victory at Rodney Parade to remain in pole position for Champions Cup qualification and keep alive their URC play-off hopes.
Charles Leclerc admits his Ferrari engineers will have some work to do overnight to find out why they lost so much pace to Max Verstappen towards the end of the sprint in Imola on Saturday, with the Dutchman taking the chequered flag. Leclerc and Verstappen have been battling at the front of the grid since the first race of the season and that's continued this week into Imola.
