AJ Ginnis lost his maiden Alpine Skiing World Cup win in a dramatic slalom in Palisades Tahoe, with Alexander Steen Olsen instead taking his first victory. Ginnis went fastest in the second run, but appeared to straddle one of the gates. However, on the official timings, he was not disqualified.
Perrine Laffont made history in Bakuriani, becoming the most successful mogul skier in history after her dual moguls World Championship gold. Following her singles success on Saturday, Laffont topped the rostrum ahead of US contender Jaelin Kauf, outscoring her opponent by 20 points to 15 in the big final to claim her fifth title. Ad Avital Carroll of Austria took bronze in Georgia after holding off Hannah Soar of the US in the small final.
Jarl Magnus Riiber extended his Slovenian weekend to savour by steering Norway to the maiden mixed team World Championship title in Planica. Riiber, 25, became just the second man to win three individual World Championship titles in a row on Saturday and followed it up 24 hours later by leading his country to glory in the normal hill mixed team event.
Sweden secured top spot in the women's cross-country freestyle team sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia. Emma Ribom and Jonna Sundling topped the podium with a time of 19:40.73.
UAE Team Emirates rider Adam Yates won the seventh and final stage while world champion Remco Evenepoel of Soudal-QuickStep sealed overall victory in the UAE Tour at Jebel Hafeet on Sunday.
Jessie Diggins and Julia Kern earned team sprint bronze at the world championships, a U.S. cross-country skiing record-extending fifth career world medal for Diggins.
