Shadab Khan, who was running amok scoring 48 off 35 balls, was backing up too far on the first ball of the last over. Farooqi while bowling the first delivery ran him out. Though, Afghanistan started celebrating, Shadab waited. The TV umpire agrees though agreed that it was indeed a run out. However, few balls later, Naseem Shah took Pakistan home.

South Africa became the latest country to provide equal pay across genders after they announced all their cricketers would receive the same match fees for international matches according to the ICC. The Proteas join New Zealand and India as countries that have announced pay parity across the genders. South Africa To Send Below-Strength Test Team To New Zealand

South Africa will send an understrength team to New Zealand for two World Test Championship matches in February, following the release on Tuesday of the fixtures for its domestic SA20 franchise competition. Cricket South Africa chief executive Pholetsi Moseki confirmed to AFP on Tuesday that no players contracted to the six SA20 franchises would travel to New Zealand. The SA20 will start on January 10 and finish on February 10, overlapping with the Tests which begin on February 4 and February 13.

Dewald Brevis Gets Call-up For South Africa's T20I Series Against Australia

Cricket South Africa on Monday named 18 players for a five-match one-day international series against Australia next month, the team's last outings before the Cricket World Cup in India. But not all the players will be travelling to India for the tournament in October and November. A 15-man World Cup squad will be named on September 5, two days before the first one-day international. Some of the squad will be hoping to impress in three Twenty20 internationals before the one-day series. They include Dewald Brevis, 20, who is set to make his international debut during the T20 series.
