After India shooter Swapnil Kusale's historic bronze medal at the ongoing Paris Olympics, his former coach Vishwajeet Shinde expressed his feelings saying that his victory has brought great joy to the nation. Kusale became the first Indian shooter to win a medal in the men's 50m rifle 3P event. The shooter clinched the bronze medal for India in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's Final after finishing in third place with an aggregate of 451.4. He secured India's third overall medal in shooting. "I am very happy he got an Olympic medal today. His victory is a matter of great joy for us. This is the result of the hard work he did and I am very happy for him," Vishwajeet Shinde told ANI.
India shooter Swapnil Kusale clinched yet another shooting medal for India at Paris Olympics 2024, as he won bronze in the Men's 50m rifle three positions event. Spending much of the early parts of the final in the fifth or sixth position, Swapnil made a dash for the top to clinch a historic bronze. This becomes India's third shooting medal, as well as the third medal overall, in Paris 2024, after Manu Bhaker's bronze in women's 10m air pistol and Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh's men's 10m air pistol final.

It all started with Manu Bhaker clinching a bronze in the women's individual 10m air pistol final in the Paris Olympics Games 2024. The young pistol shooter opened India's account on the medals tally, before combining with Sarabjot Singh in the mixed team 10m air pistol event to bag another bronze. On Day 6 of the Paris Games, Swapnil Singh took the tally to three medals, bagging the country's first medal ever in the men's 50m Rifle 3-Positions final, a bronze. In the process, the shooters earned India a big first in the 2024 edition of the Olympic Games.
