The second LPGA major of the year returns to a course that the women's game hasn't been to since 1961. Baltusrol's Lower Course in Springfield, New Jersey, was the site of the 1961 U.S. Women's Open, where Mickey Wright won a prize of $1,800 with a score of 5-over that beat the field by six shots.

Ad Alcaraz is making his Queen’s debut this year and is relatively new to grass-court tennis, with two previous outings at Wimbledon being the extent of his tour-level experience on the surface.
For Nick Kyrgios, Matteo Berrettini and Milos Raonic, Wimbledon has been the closest they have got to winning a Grand Slam singles title. Kyrgios made the final last summer, losing to Novak Djokovic in four sets. Berrettini was beaten by the same opponent, and over the same number of sets, the previous year.
