RIYADH: Sports fans are 10 days away from the inauguration of the second edition of the 2023 Saudi Games, the largest national sports event in the Kingdom’s history. The showpiece event, scheduled to take place between Nov. 26 and Dec.
RIYADH: Tickets for the opening ceremony of the 2023 Saudi Games are now on sale, organizers announced on Wednesday. General admission tickets for the event, on Nov. 27 at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, are available at tickets.saudigames.sa for SR35 ($9). The crowd can look forward to a spectacular opening ceremony, organizers said, featuring a stunning showcase of special performances, artistic and athletic displays, dazzling fireworks and light shows that collectively amount to a visual masterpiece. Many of the participating athletes will also be there, marching proudly into the stadium for the ceremonial lighting of the event’s torch.
JEDDAH: The Saudi Hockey Federation has signed a partnership agreement with Thamer International Schools in Jeddah to establish training programs designed to identify and develop the sporting skills of talented students. The federation will provide coaches and equipment for the training sessions, which will take place at Thamer’s sports facilities during breaks between academic sessions. The agreement, one of several with schools across the Kingdom, was signed by Abdulellah Mansour Almymoon, the federation’s executive director, and Mohammed Saeed Al-Ghamdi, Thamer’s director. Almymoon said that one of the federation’s key goals is to promote field hockey and encourage more people to take part to improve their physical and mental health, while also helping to build a bright future for the sport.
