Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) has unanimously decided to suspend six individuals, including four riders, for two years after an inquiry committee found them guilty of an impersonation scam to represent the Nepal team at the Tent Pegging World Cup Qualifiers held in March last year. Seven other individuals were also issued warnings based on the committee's recommendation in a recent emergent EC meeting of the federation. According to a statement issued by the EFI, the inquiry committee was set up to investigate complaints about Indian citizens representing the Nepal team.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have roped in aggressive Australian batter Aaron Finch as a replacement for England's Alex Hales for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. "Hales has cited bubble fatigue as his reason for withdrawal from the tournament," IPL stated in a media release. Finch, who led Australia to an ICC T20 World Cup win, has so far played 88 T20Is scoring 2,686 runs with the help of two hundreds and 15 half-centuries.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed Australia's T20 World Cup-winning captain Aaron Finch as a replacement for Englishman Alex Hales ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) season. Hales has cited bubble fatigue as his reason for withdrawal from the tournament, the IPL stated in a press release on Friday evening. Finch has represented Australia in 88 T20Is and has scored 2,686 runs, including two hundreds and 15 half-centuries. Finch, who has played 87 IPL games and has over 2000 IPL runs, will join KKR at the price of Rs 1.5 crore.
Chennai Super Kings will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening game of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede stadium here on March 26. The BCCI on Sunday announced the schedule of the cash-rich league, which will be played across four venues -- Wankhede Stadium and Cricket Club of India in Mumbai, DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai and Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune. “A total number of 70 league matches and 4 playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a media release. There will be 12 double-headers in the tournament and on such days, the first game will be played at 3.30pm and the evening matches will be played at 7.30pm.
