Rising batting sensation Sai Sudharsan's eminently graceful hundred beautifully complemented pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar's five-wicket haul as India A crushed Pakistan A by eight wickets to end league stage with all-win record in the Emerging Asia Cup in Colombo on Wednesday. Batting first, Pakistan were all out for 205 in 48 overs with Hangargekar taking 5 for 42 in eight overs and then Sudharsan's unbeaten 104 off 110 balls ensured that the meagre target was surpassed in 36.4 overs.

Pakistan lost three wickets in a tricky 131-run chase on day four of the rain-hit opening Test on Wednesday, after spinners Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed helped bowl Sri Lanka out for 279. The tourists reached 48-3 at stumps in Galle, needing another 83 to take the lead in the two-match series. Imam-ul-Haq, on 25, and skipper Babar Azam, on six, were at the crease. Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya struck twice with the wickets of Abdullah Shafique, caught behind for eight, and Shan Masood for seven.

Asia Cup 2023 Schedule Announced, India To Face Pakistan On This Date

The Asia Cup 2023 schedule was finally announced on Wednesday, by Jay Shah, BCCI secretary and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) head. This time the tournament is being played in a hybrid model, after Shah declared last year that India would not be travelling to Pakistan for the event. The tournament will begin with a match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan, Pakistan, on August 30. The much-awaited India-Pakistan clash will take place in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 2. India will face Nepal in the other group stage match on September 4 at the same venue.

With Rajvardhan Hangargekar's five-wicket haul, Pakistan 'A' bundled out at 205 against India in the ODI match of the ACC Emerging Cup in Colombo on Wednesday. Hangargekar took five wickets conceding 42. Manav Suthar also picked three wickets for 36. Riyan Parag and Nishant Sindhu took one wicket each. After losing the toss, India 'A' bowled tight lines to the Pakistan ‘A' batters. Hangargekar in the 4th over got the first breakthrough for India, dismissing Saim Ayub. Hangargekar then picked the wicket of Omair Yousuf in the same over.

The Pakistan cricket team put in a mountain of 461 runs against Sri Lanka in the first innings, all thanks to a double hundred from Saud Shakeel. But, if it wasn't for Naseem Shah's gritty 78-ball stay on the crease, Shakeel wouldn't have reached the illustrious milestone. While many hailed Naseem's determination in the middle, he also courted extreme criticism from Pakistan great Aamir Sohail, who was commentating with Ramiz Raja for the match.
