Strong field awaits Neeraj Chopra in his first Diamond League Meet of the season
The 24-year-old Chopra will come into the Swedish capital with confidence after clinching his first win of the season at the Kuortane Games in Finland on June 18, beating reigning world champion Anderson Peters of Grenada for the second time this month. The Indian superstar had won a silver in his first competition of the season at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on June 14 with a national record throw of 89.30m. Chopra had a nasty fall during his third attempt at the Kuortane Games but luckily he did not sustain any injury.
