En el minuto 60 del partido entre Granada y Cádiz en Los Cármenes, Sergio González decidió dar entrada a Iván Alejo en sustitución de Carlos Akapo.. El jugador visitante salió por línea de banda, para agilizar la sustitución, y un individuo, desde su butaca, le hizo gestos al lateral. Todo apunta, por la reacción del futbolista y por el gesto en sí que se trataba de un insulto racista: una imitación de un mono.
